How We Met

We both swiped right!

Little did we know that we were growing up just 10 minutes away from each other attending neighboring high schools (Lassiter and Walton). I'm sure we crossed paths many times, but it took years before fate finally brought us together online. After writing a few messages back and forth, we met for our first date at Glover Park Brewery in the Marietta Square. Since the date was going well, we decided to walk to another place (Two Birds Taphouse). As we were walking out, a wedding party was starting to line up to send off a bride and groom as there was a wedding reception occurring upstairs at Glover Park Brewery that night. The wedding party clapped and cheered for us as we walked through to get to the next place. I thought to myself - is this a sign? :) After a 4-hour first date and a long second date going to a Braves game, the rest is history!

Proposal

After countless incredible dates and adventures, Brian planned the perfect proposal at the stunning Wormsloe Historic Site in Savannah, Georgia during a weekend getaway in January 2025. Before our trip, he had coordinated with my parents and the jeweler to pick up my engagement ring, which has my mom's diamond from her engagement ring. Once in Savannah, I had been wanting to go to Wormsloe because of the gorgeous 1.5 mile avenue lined with old oak trees and Spanish moss. After asking a couple walking down the road to take our picture (so they could capture this special moment), Brian got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. But first, he handed me a pink crochet rose, which had a special meaning. My nieces, Hailey and Emily, had bought that rose at a craft market back in November and had a secret plan. They wanted Brian to give me the rose when he proposed to me. So in his backpack, not only was he carrying around and hiding the ring, he also brought that crochet rose and gave it to me just before he popped the question. We had such an amazing trip, we knew then that Savannah was the place where we wanted to begin our forever. Surrounded by our beloved family and friends, we will celebrate our love in beautiful Savannah, ready to embark on a lifetime of adventure together.
