The weekend after Valentine’s Day in 2019, Kailey bopped up to Odessa, Texas and stumbled into a worship practice where Matt just so happened to be. Little did she know she was going to meet the love of her life. Shortly after moving in April, Matt & Kailey became friends & realized they couldn’t picture their lives without one another. They started dating after a long conversation in a Bahama Bucks parking lot one September night. Very early on, they knew God had something special planned for them, that included getting married. So, what else were they to do but tie the knot?

It was 3 days before Kailey’s birthday and Matt knew the time had come to pop the question. Matt went to great lengths to set up a date style photo shoot with a photographer friend of theirs. After the bulk of the shoot was done, and moving to a new location, Matt got on one knee and waited for Kailey to turn around. After a very cheesy and romantic speech, as per usual for Matt, Kailey shouted intensely “I KNEW IT!” and then said “yes, of course!,” followed by her signature dad dance moves!
