We met on a dating website in 2016. After a few months of talking we decided to meet in person. We met for dinner at Flashback Grill then went to a local park and swung on the swings. We didn't hit it off at first but we continued chatting over the next year and spent time together when we were both free. Our feelings developed into more than friends, mine before his but I didn't let him know right away. On November 18th 2017 he asked if we could spent the day together, we enjoyed a beautiful day outside of Cottage Grove exploring. On Thanksgiving, just 5 days later I got a card and wrote him a cheesy poem asking him to be my boyfriend.
We went to Seaside for our anniversary weekend. We both agreed no gifts, just a weekend away together. When we got to our oceanfront room Josh was surprised to find I had called in advance to have them decorate it for us. The room was covered in rose petals, Swans made out of towels, chocolates, wine and roses set up all around the room. We brought all our things inside and were enjoying the ocean view when we decided to get a picture of us in the room before it was messed up. Josh brought in the tripod and was setting it up trying to get the whole room in the picture. We were bickering and I was snapping pictures of him setting it up, laughing about him trying to get it perfect. He hit record on the phone and I asked why he was recording as he came around the bed, got down on one knee and pulled a red ring box out of his pocket. I started crying as he asked me to marry him. It was absolutely perfect and I obviously said yes.
