We are eloping on Sunday! If you would like to livestream the ceremony, contact me and I will add you to the Facebook group! It will be streamed at 8:15 CT and 9:15 ET.
Unfortunately, due to COVID we had to cancel the wedding. We will send update on what is next soon.
We have officially postponed our wedding shower on April 25th. We will not make any decisions on a new date until we know that everyone will be safe. Our wedding is still on for August 8, 2020 in Puyallup, WA. We have not sent out invitations but would love for you to keep updated by visiting this site. We plan to make a decision by mid May. Please keep in mind that Washington and Ohio have different reopening plans and we will make the decision that is best for us and our guests. We hope everyone is safe and we love you all!
As of now, we are still excited to get married on August 8th! Please continue to check the website for more updates as we get closer to the date. We will be monitoring and going with the advice of the CDC to make our decisions for the wedding. We are praying for joyful hearts, steady minds and healthy bodies.
he fell for me... literally after we rode a 15 minute tram UP the mountain, we then found out it was a 1.5 mile hike further UP the mountain to the Kiwanis cabin. thus, I’m not too surprised that due to hunger + high altitude + thirst + low energy, that josh was extremely nervous to propose. what still makes me laugh is that both Josh and Emily thought the other would cue when to pop the question. after spending around 30 minutes at the top of the mountain, Josh decided to get down on one knee. and in the process, he slipped on gravel and slammed his knee on a rock while and proceeded to say will you marry me in the quickest fashion. of course, I barely noticed (I had no clue) so I just kept giggling because that’s how I respond when I am nervous. I think I nodded my head, we aren’t sure. But I kept giggling of excitement so josh had to plead, “please!?”. in typical caitlin fashion, we are not sure if I even said yes out loud. so as we walked down the mountain, Josh asks, “so for the record, that was a yes right?”. of course I said yes & I am excited to be Josh’s goober for eternity. to end, I will quote a dear friend, phil, “that was the most on brand thing ever”.
