Things To Do
Mt Nittany Loop
This was the first hike Patrick and Liv did together! This hiking spot is one of the most loved in the State College area! It’s full of vistas where you can see all of State College and is a loop trail. We recommend using all trails to help navigate! Pro tip- do the trail in reverse and it’ll be easier on your knees!
Allegheny Front, Rock Run, and Forks Trail Loop
This hikes harder to find so please use a trail app like All Trails to get you to the trail head! If you choose to hike this hidden gem you’ll see a wide variety of PA forest scenery as well as a lot of moving water! Convince a Patrick and Liv to come along you’ll get a whole forestry lesson!
Talleyrand Park
Patrick and Liv often come to feed the aquatic birds on a nice day as a way of relaxing! This park is full of ducks and geese who love to be fed but please don’t give them bread! Make sure you stop while walking over the wood bridge and look below to say hello to the massive rainbow trout too!
Big Spring Spirits
This distillery hidden in the Talleyrand Park is a great destination to stop and have a beverage! They have an ever changing tap cocktail as well as a variety of hand crafted beverages all done with their PA liquors! Patrick and Liv love to grab a beverage here after feeding their aquatic bird friends!
Bonfatto's Italian Market & Corner Café
This cute coffee shop also has amazing food! It’s such a staple college kids come from state college to grab lunch! If you want a delicious meal on the cheaper end give this place a go!
Four Ways Pub & Eatery
This local pub has some of the best burgers and chicken sandwiches! Although if you ask Liv’s brother you gotta judge a place by their reuben and boy do they pass! If you want a local place to eat give here a go but be warned they can get busy!
Talleyrand Tavern
If you go here for a beverage and Zach’s working make sure you tell him Liv and Patrick sent you! This bar is our favorite place to grab drinks so much so we plan on dragging our wedding party out for drinks before the wedding!
Fishermans Paradise
Love to fish? Better have a fly rod because as most of the area is fly fishing only, but don’t be deterred it’s still quite the paradise!
