We met when I was in 6th grade and Dexter was in 7th. Back then we didn't exactly feel about each other the way we do now. Actually, we couldn't stand each other and always picked on each other. We had mutual friends and always fought over them. Flash forward to 10 years later - Dexter messages me on Facebook. I give him the run-around for months until finally agreeing to go on a date with him. We got Mexican food and spent hours at the restaurant talking. That night I told my sisters it was the best date I'd ever been on. A few weeks later, I texted Dexter and told him I wanted to be his girlfriend; He always jokes that I didn't give him a chance to ask. Five months later we made plans for me to move six hours away from home to live with him in Iowa. Around that time we picked out my engagement ring and he made plans with my best friend on how he was going to propose. He ended up spilling the beans and telling me his plans, so I told him he couldn't do that anymore since it wouldn't be a surprise. A few days later while Dexter was at work, I tore the apartment apart looking for where he had hidden the ring. When I finally found it I put it on and facetimed my friends to show it off. He came home from work and caught me red-handed (or ring-handed, if you will). I insisted he propose to me right then and there, and Rezz and I both cried until he got down on one knee, right there in our bedroom, and asked me to marry him. That's what's gotten us here to this: planning our perfect wedding. We couldn't be more excited to marry each other and for you to join us on our special day.
