Liv and Dalton both grew up in Spokane, Liv in the Valley and Dalton up North. Both grew up running and competing in the GSL, with mutual friends from all over the running community, and graduated in the same year, but never crossed paths. In early 2024, Dalton got close with Liv’s church friends while she was across the state for college. Later that year, they finally met at a friend’s birthday party, seemingly by chance. They talked late into the night about faith, running, physics, and music, and less than a month after that they began dating. The next year was full of adventures with friends, Bible studies, video games, family meals, and endless joy and laughter. Both knew early on that it was more than just coincidence that they met at that party in 2024, feeling confident that God brought them together in His perfect plan and timing. On November 30, 2025, Dalton took Liv back to Manito, where they sat at the duck pond and talked on their very first date. Where something special had begun over a year ago, Dalton proposed, and so they began their adventure of a lifetime together in the same place they both knew God had led them to each other.
