How did Kimberly and Kyle meet? Miraculously - through the dating app Hinge! I knooow! Let’s rewind to July 2023…Kimberly actually saw Kyle’s profile twice but didn’t swipe right because, according to her, he had “total player vibes.” Luckily, Kyle swiped right first - and after taking a closer look at his profile, Kimberly realized he was actually a Marvel nerd and family-oriented guy, so she decided to give him a chance. After a number of texts back and forth, Kyle decided to take a leap of faith and ask Kimberly out on a date. Both were excited to finally meet, but their first date ended up being delayed three weeks—thanks to Kyle traveling to visit family and Kimberly catching COVID. Even while Kyle was away, he quickly won Kimberly’s heart with his thoughtful gestures - sending her Uber Eats to help her feel better. Even before meeting in person, Kimberly felt seen and knew Kyle was someone special. By late August, Kimberly and Kyle finally had their first date at the Moxy Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. When Kimberly arrived, she momentarily thought she was being catfished—a man standing at their meeting spot looked nothing like the Kyle she’d seen in photos, and to make matters worse, she hadn’t brought her contact lenses to see clearly! But like any good Marvel hero, Kyle swooped in just in time to save Kimberly from the mystery man (though in reality, he was late because he’d been dropped off at the wrong side of the hotel). Since then, Kimberly and Kyle enjoyed a night filled with great food, drinks, and fun conversation—topped off by a surprise drone show over the old Staples Center (courtesy of pure luck, not Kyle’s planning). After the date, Kyle texted Kimberly, “Would you accept my rose for a second date?” - and the rest, as they say, is history.

By late summer 2024, Kyle surprised Kimberly with a week-long trip to Costa Rica! Like any corporate finance nerd, he put together a ten-page Powerpoint presentation about the trip. He disguised the trip as an early birthday present for Kimberly, but secretly, he had bigger plans. Fast forward to March 2025, the two were off to Costa Rica! After five amazing and adventure-filled days in the city of La Fortuna, they headed to a beautiful all-inclusive resort on the northern coast. While this part of the trip was meant for pure relaxation (and unlimited mojitos for Kyle), their only commitment was a professional photoshoot the second day. What Kimberly believed was a simple couple’s vacation photoshoot turned out to be the perfect setup. After taking photos around the resort, the final scene for photos was set along the coastal shore. For the last shot, the photographer asked Kimberly to stand a few feet ahead of Kyle. She didn’t catch the subtle cue for Kyle to drop to one knee (yes—the photographer was in on it). When the photographer told her to turn around, she found Kyle down on one knee, delivering a heartfelt speech and professing his love. He asked the question, “Te quieres casar comingo? Kimberly was overwhelmed with so many feelings that she blacked out on some part of Kyle’s speech and at the end she said “Si!” and started crying of so much joy and happiness!
