*A Dramatic Retelling of How It All Came To Be As Told By The Perspective of Ireland* It was a cold, so so cold, January Saturday. I had joined my first ever tournament with my new softball team, when we had the world's longest break in between games. With hours to spare a group of them were headed off to hang out at another softball field where their boo thangs and hubbies were playing. They too had a long break and were tailgating in the parking lot. We pull up and I'm sitting there, in a chair, having the grandest of times talking with a new friend a had made on the team, when suddenly I see a disturbance. Johnathan had just woken up from a nap in his car when he had sauntered over to the festivities. Once my new friend had left to go pack up and head over to the field, he had sat down and said hi. At first I thought, wow, he's oh so very handsome (and he is) and he was funny.. It was very suspicious, too good to be true. Pretty and funny? Impossible. Months go by and we see each other at softball tournaments, gatherings, and yes, he was indeed funny, until that fateful day.. It was late summer, in August. I was minding my own business as one does, when *ding* a Facebook message comes across my screen. From Johnathan. "Weird.. He's never messaged me before, I wonder what it could be about it.." I thought to myself as I pulled up messenger and see a giraffe gif. (It was two giraffe's fighting which is something we had previously done at a softball tournament where we stuck our hands together in the air above our heads, and pretended to battle. If you haven't seen giraffe's fighting I highly recommend you look it up, it's very funny. My nickname was Geoffrey the Giraffe since I'm tall, and love giraffe's, it was a entire thing, anyways moving on). This Gif made me smile and started the conversation that never seemed to end (in a good way). Next thing I knew he was asking me out on a date and how could I pass up pretty and funny?? The rest is history and now we get to celebrate the next chapter with our loved ones.
