We were set up on a blind date for semi formal. What could have been really awkward actually went very well. We clicked immediately and bonded over our mutual love for Jesus & travel. We started going to church together which turned into post-church lunch dates which turned into many more dates. The rest is history!

We flew into Kansas City to visit my parents for the weekend. We went to dinner and then decided to go walk at a nearby park afterwards. I saw Carson standing on a bridge so I walked up to join him. We talked for a minute and then he pulled out his phone to read Proverbs 16:1-9 to me. The passage is about God's plans for our lives being better than any plan we could ever make for ourselves. After that, he gave me a journal entry he wrote on March 4, 2018, the day we made our relationship official. We were reminded of how we blessed we are that God's plan for our lives involves loving each other forever. He got down on his knee and popped the question! We spent that evening calling friends and family and celebrating how good God has been to us! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See ya in Gulf Shores!
