FAQs

Question

What about the ceremony?

Answer

Lauren and Sam have chosen to exchange their vows privately, creating an intimate moment they'll treasure together. A video of the weekend will be shared with you all at the reception, so you won't miss out on the celebration. We hope you'll respect this meaningful choice and join us in honoring this special day.

Question

Do I have to come all weekend?

Answer

Our reception takes place on Saturday, the 10th, and we'll be at the YMCA from Friday through Sunday. Whether you'd like to join us for the entire weekend or simply celebrate with us at the reception, we'd love to have you there!

Question

Should we bring a gift?

Answer

Most of all, we want to spend time with the people we love and celebrate our marriage. If you do choose to bring a gift, please consider thrifting a find that reminds you of us or crafting something homemade. We have made a registry of some household items we've been working towards as well. Please see the registry tab if you'd prefer to order directly, or for ideas of what we're looking for to complete our home.

Question

How far is it from Denver Airport?

Answer

Estes Park is approximately 1.5 hours from Denver International Airport, though travel time may vary depending on traffic conditions.

Question

Can we stay at the YMCA?

Answer

The YMCA offers both hotel-style lodging and cabins ranging from 2 to 5 bedrooms, making it a wonderful option for your group. Sam and Lauren will be staying on-site, along with a large group in one of the main cabins.

Question

Do we have to stay at the YMCA?

Answer

You don't have to! Estes Park offers a wonderful variety of accommodations, from resort hotels and cozy cabins to the iconic Stanley Hotel. While our Saturday evening reception will be held at the YMCA—and we'll be enjoying the many activities available on-site throughout the day—day passes are available if you'd prefer to stay elsewhere and join us when you're ready.

Question

ALTITUDE & WEATHER

Answer

Estes Park Center is 8,000+ feet above sea level. Give your body time to adjust by limiting physical activity for the first 24 hours. Drink plenty of water and apply sunscreen often. While we don't anticipate snow, it can always be chilly in the mountains. Pack layers and be prepared for temperatures to drop in the afternoon and evening.
