We met the old fashion way...Online :) Kevin had just adopted one of the world's cutest puppies (Charlie) and Brady was instantly swept off her feet with the pair. We finally decided it was time to meet in person and our first date was at the Duke of Perth for some scotch tastings. Brady knew Kevin was something special when he stood outside waiting for her to arrive, it was her first of many signs that chivalry is not dead. We talked for a while, mostly about Charlie and the conversation just flowed. When the date was starting to wind down Brady slyly grabbed the check and told Kevin he could pay her back by taking her on a second date. Kevin was intrigued and the rest is a blissful history.
Kevin woke Brady up at 5:45am on October 26, 2019. The plan was to take their dog, Charlie, for a long walk along the lake before they took a two hour drive to an apple orchard for one final outdoor activity before Fall turned to Winter. Brady was less than thrilled with the time of the awakening, but could not have been more excited to spend the day with two of her three favorite boys (Her Golden Retriever, Benson, was snuggling up to his favorite ball in Columbus, Ohio). As they walked up to the area where Kevin planned to pop the question, he reached into his sock to retrieve the ring. At that moment, Brady turned around and caught him, but he put his hands behind his back and tried to play it cool. He walked to the spot that he envisioned the proposal and froze. Brady walked up to him, wondering why he wasn't running around like a mad man, with Charlie, per usual. Kevin got down on one knee and asked Brady to spend the rest of her life with him, which she enthusiastically agreed. Kevin reached for the ring only to realize it was missing. Panic set in and he started looking for the ring only to find out that he was holding the box upside down. Kevin's sister, Courtney, kindly offered to hide behind a statue and take candid pictures of the event unfolding. Her wonderful pictures are featured throughout our wedding website :)
