It all started with a mutual friend who introduced us and it didn’t take long to realize we were meant to be. Soon after meeting, we went on our first date at the Olde Town Pub in Leonardtown and a few weeks following, we were official. Our paths had crossed multiple times with our dads being friends and Emily finding Nelson family Christmas cards from years prior in her parents’ house!

After just over 3 years of dating, we moved into our first home and started living together for the first time. Brad’s parents were kind enough to assist us in renovating our kitchen. I was surprised one evening with a new dishwasher and a glass labeled “fiancée” sitting in said dishwasher. I turned around and Brad was on one knee, holding the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. While every step of the way has been so exciting, being married will take the cake!
