Kevin and I are thrilled to announce we exchanged vows on October 26, 2018! We were planning a big wedding in March in beautiful Punta Cana but you know what they say about the best-laid plans... Kevin and I decided we couldn't wait until March to be husband and wife. When we started the discussion of a small, intimate wedding with immediate family only, we knew it was the right thing and what would ultimately make our day special. We are still planning on honeymooning to Turks and Caicos during Spring Break! Please know you were in our thoughts and hearts on our wedding day. Kevin proposed on a vacation to Aruba in June. We had fancy dinner plans and Kevin wanted to go for a walk on the beach before dinner to "scout out" good fishing spots for the morning. At first I said no because I didn't want the wind to mess up my hair but Kevin reminded me we were eating dinner on the beach so it was going to get messed up anyway :) We stopped for a glass of wine before the walk and I was drinking too slow for Kevin so he asked the bartender to give me a to-go cup for my wine because he was so determined to go on this walk. I started to get a little suspicious when we walked and walked and walked, forever on the beach. Finally, I said we need to turn around and head back if we were going to make our dinner reservations. Then Kevin got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I think I blacked out from the excitement - cried a little - and said yes! It was a very special, private moment, I wouldn't want to happen any other way.

We matched on Bumble and my enthusiastic story about the scorpion I found in my bedroom the night before enticed Kevin to get to know me better. He asked me out for a drink. I was looking forward to meeting Kevin but did not have high hopes. As soon as our eyes locked across the bar, all that changed. We spent the night talking and laughing like best friends. When Kevin went to the restroom, I texted my best friend and told her how amazing he is and how well the date was going (not a text she is used to getting). It was the perfect night and we saw each other the next night, and the night after that, and after that..... (unless it was a B shift). Now here we are, getting married and happier than ever!
