Graham had just graduated from Pitt with his finance degree and was looking for a summer job while he figured out his path to medicine. A friend of his recommended that he work as a summer camp counselor at the Iceoplex for their summer activities camp. Alisha had recently wrapped up her freshman year at Virginia Tech and was looking for a summer gig. Her long-time friend and personal trainer, Julie, recommended that she work at the Iceoplex camp. A few days after working together, Graham asked for Alisha's number so that they could play tennis sometime. At the end of that first tennis date, Graham made a wager. He said: "If I win this point, I get to take you for ice cream." Lish let him win and the rest is history.

In October of 2017, six years after that first tennis date, Alisha and Graham's story came full-circle. They booked a trip to London and Graham proposed on the grounds of Wimbledon, with the ring inside of a tennis ball! The best part - he made sure there was a photographer present to document the day!
