Lisette & Patrick met in August of 2017 during a Camp Gladiator outdoor bootcamp. After a few sessions, they both agreed to attend a 5 AM workout as accountability buddies. Patrick had not gotten up that early to workout since his high school days and has not made it that early since. The workout was a success & that Friday night, Patrick & Lisette went on their first date, a sushi restaurant in Austin. This was during Hurricane Harvey as Lisette's parents anxiously awaited at her apartment in Austin to hear all about the date. After this date, they knew something special was brewing & Lisette binge watched many hours of Game of Thrones (her hidden talent) to catch up to the current season for their second date to watch the Sunday night episode. They have been inseparable since!

After a few years of dating Patrick knew it was time to pop the question. Though COVID delayed some plans, when we were cleared to travel we chose Las Vegas as our first destination in April of 2021. Patrick was nervous but he had hired a photographer to assist with the planning. Rushing through the ARIA, COSMOPOLITAN, & steps of BELLAGIO Lisette was classically a half hour late. Luckily, the photographer and Patrick had taken this into account so she actually unknowingly was 2 minutes early. From the steps of the Fountains of the Bellagio the crowd cleared and Patrick got down on one knee. He made sure to pose for pictures as Lisette was astonished. She said yes (many times!) and Patrick pointed over to the photographer who blended into the crowd. After that, they had a romantic dinner at the Paris restaurant overlooking the Bellagio Fountains and proposal spot. It was a great weekend of fun and celebrating in Las Vegas. Not many people can say they were a winner after 3 days in Las Vegas but Patrick certainly could.
