Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Sunday August 31, 2025.

Question

How do we get there?

Answer

We'll all be flying in from elsewhere, so you'll most likely arrive in Thailand at Phuket International Airport (HKT). Koh Yao Yai is only accessible by boat, so from there, you'll need to make your way to one of the piers with boat services running from Phuket to the island. HKT to the piers is typically 20-30 mins (~500-600 THB taxi ride). Regardless of where you're staying, your accommodation should be able to assist you with convenient transfer options. If you want or need to organise your own transfer, here's a starting point: www.bangrongpier.com If you're staying at Anantara, you can opt to take up their door-to-door transfer package at 1,500 THB per person, per way. You can relax at their waiting lounge at Laem Sai Pier until your scheduled departure. Luggage and transport is handled for you, door-to-door. Again, if you'd like to take this up along with accommodation, reach out to us so we can get you registered for this. It's a bit of a journey, we know, but the weather ought to be great in January, so we think you'll enjoy the scenery of the islands in the Andaman Sea on the boat ride over and hopefully get yourself some great shots on the way. If you have any questions about anything, just reach out - we'll do whatever we can to make it as easy as possible for you to join us.

Question

Where do we stay?

Answer

Both our welcome and wedding events will be held at Anantara Resort on Koh Yao Yai, an island off of Phuket. Because of this, to make your time more enjoyable, we would encourage you to book accommodation on the island across at least one to two nights, dependent on your choice to attend our welcome event or just the wedding itself. The easiest option would be to stay at Anantara with us. It's a truly beautiful place, and even the entry level rooms will wow you, though the price tag comes in to match so we have negotiated up to 31% discount off currently listed standard room rates with breakfast included (inclusive of all taxes and fees), for and around our event dates in late January. The discount applies across most room categories. Reach out to us if you're interested in this option so we can register you for the discount. Check out Anantara Koh Yao Yai here: www.anantara.com/en/koh-yao-yai-phuket While Anantara is an incredible resort and we're sure you'd have an amazing stay there, we understand that you may prefer to stay elsewhere on the island. We have also negotiated a 10-15% discount off currently listed rates (dependent on numbers) at Baan Taranya Resort, very near to Anantara. You can walk along the beach between the two when the tide is low enough, otherwise its about 1.7km by road. Check out Baan Taranya Resort here: www.taranyaresort.com Of course, you are free to stay at any of the numerous accommodation options across Koh Yao Yai. If you choose not to stay at Anantara, please confirm options and rates for transportation between your hotel and Anantara resort for the directly with them.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

We’re so looking forward to celebrating with you in a beautiful beachside setting. We’d love everyone to feel comfortable, elegant, and effortlessly put together! Our dress code is refined beach formal – relaxed yet stylish, perfect for an outdoor celebration by the sea. Here’s what we envision: 👗 Women: Flowy dresses, midi or maxi lengths in light, breathable fabrics. Think soft elegance over formal gowns. 👔 Men: Lightweight suits, dress shirts with trousers, or linen sets. Jackets are optional but welcome. 🎨 Color palette inspiration: We’d love guests to wear tones that complement our wedding colours – dusty blue, sage green, soft cream, and other muted neutrals. 🚫 We kindly ask you to avoid bright colours, bold patterns, or overly casual pieces (like jeans or graphic tees). 👠 Comfortable shoes are encouraged – flats, dressy sandals, or low block heels work beautifully for the setting. We can’t wait to see everyone looking relaxed, stylish, and glowing in soft, beachy tones as we celebrate this special day together. A note on the weather to help you calibrate your outfits: January is as good as it gets in Phuket, and the wedding itself will kick off in the late afternoon to avoid the hottest part of the day, but we still expect temps to be around 30c then, cooling to mid- 20s as the evening wears on. We hope you'll also join us for the pre-wedding pool party on January 23. No dress code for this one - come in literally whatever you'd feel comfortable wearing at a tropical resort! We'll be at Anantara's main pool with the private beach close by, so make sure to bring something to go swimming in.

Question

Is there transportation to and from other hotels to the venue?

Answer

Most accommodation on the island can assist with transportation options to Anantara. If you have any difficulties, just reach out. We can help get something organised via Anantara.
