We first met in January 2016 over dinner at a restaurant in NYC and stayed in touch as friends. Years later, a simple Facebook comment regarding a bottle of wine from Portugal led us to reconnect for dinner in January 2020 at Blockheads on the east side in NYC. That night something special awakened - something we both knew we had been missing. As we spent more time together, our friendship grew into a beautiful relationship built on laughter, long conversations, and unwavering support for one another. Through life’s adventures, family moments, and even challenging times, our bond only grew stronger. We held each other close through our hardest seasons, and by Gods grace, we made it through stronger together. On March 16, 2024, Rodney proposed with a cake that read “Marry Me,” and I happily said yes. On September 26, 2026, we will jump the broom and step into our next journey in life, hand in hand with our beloved dog Miles and surrounded by our amazing family and friends.
