Lisa was about to give up all hope of finding her person with online dating. She opened the Hinge app to figure out how to delete it for good when she noticed that she had one message waiting for her. She opened it up and it was a simple, kind message. Something about it compelled her to reply and she and Fred exchanged messages for a few weeks before meeting up for their first date. The world shut down a few days after their first date, so almost all of their dates for the first six months were at home. But this allowed them the chance to get to know each other really well and fall in love with each other.

Lisa had been hinting at Fred pretty hard that she was ready for a proposal, but it was mostly just teasing. She had no idea that Fred was conspiring with her parents and brother to surprise her at Thanksgiving dinner with many of her family members being just as surprised as her.
