Our love story began long before we met. Our love story began with prayers to God for someone to love, the tears and heartache we faced in that search, and God using all those lessons and experiences to prepare us to be ready to find one another. Meeting Tom happened at a time I had all but given up. I continued going through the motions of searching without believing there was anyone out there for me. I did not want to give up, but also refused to settle. And then came Tom. Who knew one “why not” swipe on an app would turn into forever. I liked his profile, but he lived 2 hours away. I swiped anyways. He matched with me the next day and we started talking. It didn’t take long for me to realize how important this man would be in my life. Our first official date he came over to this coast and we went to Sandoway Discovery Center and we bonded over our love of nature and wildlife. It was the best rainy day adventure. Tom never left me guessing how he felt. He always has made it known how much he loves me and what his intentions are. We knew very quickly that we were meant to be together and Tom could not wait until he had a ring to propose. So when it came to the “official” proposal, of course I knew it was coming. He gave me one (to him small) hint, and I already knew where it was going to be. He tried to pretend like he was changing plans since I knew, but when the day came, I knew it was happening. I tried to pretend like I didn’t see it coming that day, but I even knew where in Gumbo Limbo he would propose. But surprised or not, I was ecstatic to be chosen by this man and making it official. Now we’re excitedly preparing for our future together. We thank God for this blessing and bringing us together. We can’t wait to start that off surrounded by our dear family and friends!

I would tell you that we started talking on an app called Holy. It was quite literally God’s plan coming forth. I was done with the whole dating thing and only if someone fell into my lap would I even think about dating again. Lisa quite literally fell into my lap and I’ve never been happier! Lisa came into my life when I thought true love and soul mates were just fantasies and I was so happy to be proven wrong. I had ask God if He has anyone for me to please let them find me! God blessed the broken road that lead us together! From the first moment I meet Lisa I knew she was different. On our first date I knew she was the one. Now I am not a man of many secrets, and I can’t keep anything hidden away from detective Lisa! She pretty much knew I had picked her to be my wife, when I was going to propose, and where. I totally thought I was being completely cryptic… but Lisa definitely thought I was wasn’t going to propose that day. She knew where it was going to be, but not when. I was to overjoyed when I got down on my knee and brought out the ring. It looked so perfect on her finger! And seeing as we are all preparing for the big day, she of course and happily said yes!
