Born into Shash dine’é — Bear People. Father's clan. 3. His maternal grandfather is Bilagáana — Anglo/Caucasian descent. 4. His paternal grandfather's clan is Tó Dích’íi’nii — Bitter Water People. Frank and I met in 2020. We met working in a Hospital in Phoenix, in the Engineering Department. After several months of small talks and hellos, we became friends and quickly realized we had a lot in common. I think we both knew, this relationship was completely different for us. We took a leap of faith, followed our hearts, and decided to move in together in December of 2020. Prior to moving in, we were relieved to know, we weren't cousins! LOL. (If you're native, then you know what I mean!) A few weeks after that, we spent our first Christmas together and I met Frank's parents and sisters! One year later, Frank and I talked about moving closer to "home". Together, we decided to move and leave the big city to relocate to Cortez, CO. In March of 2022, we officially moved to Cortez and have been loving the small-town life! In April of 2022 we adopted our first puppy, Rocky. Rocky has made our life complete and keeps us busy. He is the sweetest pup anyone can ask for! Rocky just turned 3 this February. He was born on February 22, 2022. He is our biggest blessing, and we love him! Anyone who knows us, knows that we love Colorado. We can't think of a better place to live. Any chance we get, we will load up our vehicle with camping supplies, fishing poles and hiking gear to enjoy the mountains. We also are just "big" kids. We like to laugh and have fun. That is one of the reasons I fell in love with Frank. He is the funniest person I know. He just makes you laugh. Last year in June of 2024, Frank and I got engaged. We've had conversations prior to our engagement about marriage so it wasn't a complete surprise. Frank was a gentleman and asked my dad first. My dad gave his blessing, so Frank waited for the right time to propose. It was a beautiful summer day, and on days like these if we're not out camping, hiking or fishing... we're home sitting outside while the smoker or grill is cooking some food. I was sitting on our back patio when Frank called Rocky over, then me. As soon as I stood in front of him, he kneeled down and asked me to marry him. I said "yes!" It was the sweetest moment, and I'm so happy he included Rocky. We are excited to get our future started and can't wait to celebrate at our wedding. The rest is still being written, but we are having fun and love each other very much! The picture below is from our first Christmas together!
