For guests that are traveling, there are multiple options for overnight accommodations. There is a block of rooms at Holiday Inn Express next to the wedding venue in Wallace, NC. However, there is not much to do in Wallace, no pool at the hotel, and is about 45 minutes away from Wilmington. I would suggest staying in Wilmington, Carolina Beach, or Wrightsville Beach. There is much more to do and experience. Please let us know know preferences and we will gladly look into other hotels for group rates and/or make recommendations. Another option for traveleres may be renting a house in Carolina Beach or Wrightsville Beach.
Flight
Airports: Wilmington Airport (ILM) Raleigh/Durham (RDU) Myrtle Beach (MYB)
ILM is a little bit more expensive but is right in town. There are some direct flights from Chicago. Primarily United and American Airlines. Myrtle Beach and Raleigh Airports are cheaper and are about 1.5 to 2 hours from Wilmington. Both have Southwest! If driving, West Virginia has some tolls. IPASS will work or try to have cash. You can go through without cash, but there is an extra fee. They give receipts that they track and have to be paid online. It can be easy to forget.
