The flight from Philadelphia to Knoxville is about an hour and half
The drive from the Knoxville airport to pigeon forge is roughly a 50 minute drive.
It’s about a 10 hour drive.
Lisa’s family had rented a cabin almost three years ago and when we went we fell in love with the mountains! We had talked about doing a destination wedding and agreed TN would be great and easy for our guest to get to by driving or flying. There’s tons of things for everyone to do, from hiking to amusement parks or just relaxing at a cabin or hotel by the pool! There’s something for everyone!
We will provide a shuttle service for our guests! Please let us know where you are staying and we will make sure you get picked up and dropped off!
Unfortunately we are not inviting kids with the exception of our own and immediate family! We know many of you are looking to make this a family vacation, we will look into nanny services and get info for everyone!
I reached out to my wedding planner and she recommended care.com for nanny’s the night of our wedding!
Yes, we will plan out the weeks events about three months before our wedding, we will send reminders to everyone!
Everything is on track for our July 15, 2021 date. The wedding venue, The Magnolia, is primarily outdoor. It consists of 3 areas: Outside open air deck, outside covered area and an inside dining room which has garage doors that open. We are scheduled to have our Covid-19 vaccines before the wedding occurs as are many of our guests.
We are staying in a cabin. We are staying at the Sweet Escape. (Link below for this set of cabins). It would be great to have a lot of our guests in the same development if possible. www.Eaglesridge.com
Definitely more a family atmosphere. Our 3 kids will be there all week with us, as well their 1st cousins (which will add up to a lot of kids). All of the activities during the week will be events kids can partake in as well. Only the children of immediate family are invited to the actual wedding but our kids would love to spend time with yours all week. During the wedding evening, our wedding planner can connect you with local Nannies and babysitters in the area via Care.com
Hello all, Here are some safety rules and tips from our wedding venue they asked us to pass along.... Since the wedding venue is a large cabin set on the side of a mountain, here are the venue rules: ---No sitting or standing on the railings of the balcony, including for pictures. ---Do not lift any kids over the balcony for any reason. ---Smoking is only permitted in a designated smoking area. ---The shuttle driver must drive you up and down the mountain. No one is allowed to drive themselves up or down. And on a personal note, as most of you are aware I had spinal surgery recently. While I'm healing I have to be very cautious. I'm excited to see you all and give you a hug, but I was told to be mindful of any actions that could cause more damage, such as a fall or someone jumping on my back. We're looking forward to a great, safe trip with everyone!
Most men are wearing either a dress shirt and tie or a dress shirt and jacket. After the ceremony and pictures, you can remove the jacket/tie. Women are wearing dresses, dress to impress!!!
If you have not supplied your address or miss the shuttle, you can meet at the bottom of the wedding venue and the shuttle driver will take you up. That address is: 509 Mill Creek Road Pigeon Forge, TN 37863 (Smoky Mountain Zip Line)
