LISA: MY STORY OF "HOW WE MET"

The night that started a lifetime.

It all began on November 5, 2018, when I met Steven through the introduction of a mutual friend. (Pretty much, a set up... lol) I asked this mutual friend time and time again, stop trying to set me up all the time!! But little did we know this meeting would set the stage for a unexpected journey ahead. Steven and I started our connection just about every day driving into work, with long, early morning and late-night conversations over the phone. Days and days passed, and we could not wait to meet each other in person. We were invited to a Holiday PJ party that we thought would be a great time to meet in person. I was so excited and couldn't wait to see Steve. I was attending another holiday party that same day. The anxiety of wanting to leave so that I could finally meet Steven was so overwhelming!! I left the holiday party early, driving at a faster speed than normal. With all that was going on, my heart raced with anticipation. The moment finally arrived, and as I saw Steve for the first time in person, it felt as though time stood still. It felt like I had known him forever. Being the gentleman that he is, he greeted me with a hug, and said to me that my pictures did not do me justice; of course it made me blush... He then offered to make me a drink, a very nice drink. As the night went on, we shared laughter, conversation about our day and week, stories, games with friends, and the longest kiss that seemed to defy the passage of time. So, from that holiday party, our love story began to unfold, starting with sharing special moments together, that I will cherish and remember for a lifetime.

STEVEN: MY SIDE OF "HOW WE MET"

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

In early November 2018, I was asked, if I would be interested in being introduced to a friend of a friend; I said sure. I sent a picture to my friend, and I received a picture of this beautiful young lady name Lisa. Shortly thereafter, I asked if I could have her phone number to reach out to her, Got the number! YES!!! Lisa’s picture matched the image of my soulmate that I had seen in my dreams for many years. During the month November, we spoke often, getting to know each other; in December we continued to get to know each other, and I was looking forward to meeting face to face. Just in case you are thinking about what took so long for us to meet face-to-face and it’s not what you are thinking; my days at the time were full of family and personal responsibilities which continue to exist, but I could not let the new year come without us meeting. In December one of the persons responsible for our meeting announced they were having a holiday pajama party on Saturday, December 22nd, so we locked in that date as the day would meet in a neutral location (my words) with people we already know just in case I wasn’t her cup of tea face-to-face. We talked about how much we are looking forward to the 22nd, I stated I would be wearing sweats instead of PJs and that I wouldn’t be there until after 8:30 pm because of family responsibilities. Lisa stated that she had another event before the holiday Pajama party and that she would be there as soon as she could. I tried to play it cool and not let Lisa, know how much I was looking forward to replacing all the years of dream images and pictures that Lisa, had shared with me and replacing them with first-hand images, touch, hugs, and hopefully a kiss. I arrived around 8:30 pm, I didn’t see the face that I was so looking forward to greeting. I paced the floor and had a drink or two and decided, "I need to eat something so I would have a clear head when Lisa arrived". Shortly thereafter I was told Lisa, was on her way, my smile warmed me from the inside with anticipation. Maybe fifteen minutes had passed and there she stood in the kitchen wearing the sweater of her earlier event, which she kept apologizing for, but all I saw was the person in my dreams and the lady of my future. " I told her that her pictures didn"t do her justice. I asked if she would like a drink (to break the ice) and asked about her day and event; our conversation was as effortless as the last two months. I was introduced to others that I didn’t know, we played some drinking games laughed, and talked. This evening moved as if we had been in a relationship for months. I didn’t want this evening/night to end, and it hasn’t. And Yes!! I did get the kiss/es that I was hoping to receive.
