Fall 1993 #She'sGoingToBeMyWife The couple met in 1993 during Lisa's freshman year and Sean's senior year at Bowie State University. It was a cool crisp day when Sean noticed Lisa walking to class across campus. Lisa was dressed in all white with her hair in a neat ponytail. Sean told his teammate, "she's going to be my wife." From that day on Sean pursued Lisa and asked to exchange numbers. He even took a biology class he didn't need just to be near Lisa. They talked on the phone and became good friends. Sean would walk Lisa to class and offered to carry her books. Lisa's nature was to care and show compassion, so when Sean invited her to his intramural basketball game, she noticed he wasn't playing on the court. Lisa asked one of Sean's football teammates, "what happened to Sean, why is he on the sideline coaching and limping?" The teammate replied, "he got hurt." Lisa immediately ran down the stands to see about Sean. As the game came to an end, Lisa approached Sean with a smile and a helping hand as she knew he was in pain and injured. Sean hobbled towards Lisa and asked her out on a date. Lisa replied, "yes, but are you ok to drive." Sean was good with a mild sprained ankle and they went out to eat for the first time together, laughing and enjoying each others company. From that day forward they have been inseparable and married on July 22, 2000. Embarking on 25 years of marriage they still say "I DO" and Love Never Fails. I Corinthians 13.
