Will there be parking at IYRS?
Answer
Park in the IYRS shell lot right in front of Restoration Hall and grab a parking pass. Then walk towards the dock for the ceremony!

What should I wear?
Answer
"Garden or Cocktail Attire" is our way of saying dressy yacht club party? Google says, "a balance between formal and casual and elegant and comfortable." Slacks and a blazer, suits, long dresses, short dresses, jumpsuits are all acceptable! We want our guests to feel beautiful and comfortable. **Please wear or at least pack comfortable shoes! You have the option of going on a boat or a dock during the ceremony and heels might not be the best choice.

Do I have to participate in the boat parade?
Answer
Ideally everyone will have a spot on boat for a quick victory lap around the harbor, but for those who would rather not, you're welcome to enjoy the school grounds and head over to the bar! *Also if you are bringing your kids, it would be helpful if you brought life jackets for them.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony is scheduled for 4pm on the dock. It would be nice if you could arrive by 3:45pm so everyone can get situated on their assigned boats (if you want to sit) or find a spot on the dock. Entrance to the dock is south of Restoration Hall and along the Coronet building. There will be signs and attendants to help you find where to go. In the case of inclement weather, we will have both the ceremony and reception in Restoration Hall.

Are you registered? Where?

Loved ones, we are really bad at this! We have a registry tab on this website, but we already live together and have most of our home essentials. If nothing on the registry is speaking to you, we welcome personalized, dare I say, homemade gifts (artwork?) - but we are sincere in saying your presence is enough! Just a heads up a pet portrait and matching crocheted bucket hats have already been claimed, you know who you are.

Check out the schedule tab on this website to see details about Sunday brunch. Newport hotels don't allow for block booking so we're substituting a lobby brunch with a Van Gruisen backyard gathering. If I can figure out how the RSVP function works, you can RSVP right on the website.
