The wedding will be held at Kiwanis Park. Inside the park, you will also find an indoor wave pool, several playgrounds, batting cages, softball and soccer fields, and sand volleyball courts. You can also bring your fishing rods, get a fishing license, and fish in the lake at the park.
If you're not into hiking, you can drive up Dobbins Lookout and have a great view of the Phoenix area. Be sure to visit at sunset. That is the most popular time, so get there early to find parking.
The Phoenix Zoo is always a great way to spend a day. There is even an area for native Arizona animals. Note: the zoo is almost entirely outdoors, so remember sunscreen and portable fans if it is warmer.

Arizona Fall Ball takes place in October and is played at multiple Spring Training facilities throughout the Phoenix area. Games are general admission and most games are $14 for adults, $12 for kids 11-17, and kids 10 and under are free!
The Arizona State Fair takes place in October. There is a general admission price that includes music, entertainment, grandstand activities, and petting zoo. Rides and food are extra.
If you are looking for a quick "hike," the Hole in the Rock in Papago Park is perfect. It takes approximately ten minutes to get to the Hole in the Rock and is less than half a mile hike round-trip. There is a combination of natural looking stairs and uphill walking to reach the Hole. It is very popular around sunrise and sunset.
