Our reception party will be in Gloucester, Virginia. The reception venue is a house (where some of our family is staying) on the water.
How to get here: If you are flying in, the closest airport to us is Richmond (RIC). The reception venue is about 1 hour away from the airport. Car rental is the best option for getting to and from the airport. (The area is rural, so there aren't many public transportation options from the airport.) You might also choose to fly into Charlottesville (2.5 hours away) or DC (3 hours away).
Where to stay: AirBnBs are the best most economical choice for this area. Look for homes in Gloucester, Yorktown, York, or Hayes.
Some other things to do while in town: If you want to do some other thing while in town, we live VERY close to historical Williamsburg as well as Yorktown! We also live about 2.5 hours away from Monticello. We are close to the beach, so that is also a fun option to do while you are here!
