Lisa and PK met through a Facebook Group! They kept stumbling across each other's profiles - Lisa thinking PK was cute, cocky, and "too butch"; PK always thinking Lisa was sarcastic, pretty, and "too far away". PK friend requested Lisa after some group banter on April 9, 2014. They spoke for the first time on April 10. From that day on, and throughout 3 years of a long distance relationship, they never went one day without a phone call.

PK, along with the help of Lisa's mom and cousins, arranged a spectacular backyard proposal while on a trip to Florida. Surrounded by Lisa's family and via Facetime with PK's family, PK got down on one knee and proposed. A champagne toast soon followed, with a celebratory PA announcement of their engagement at the Yankees/Rays spring training game the next day. Very fitting for this sports-loving couple!
