Nick and Lisa first met at Firefly Music Festival in 2017 -- both invited by mutual friends (shoutout to Dave and Emily Freebery) to camp on the same site. Nick did not pursue Lisa as she was camping with her dear friend, Greg, and he thought they could be an item. One night - Lisa couldn't sleep in her extremely hot tent, sat with Nick, and sang him a song by the late Tejano starlet - Selena. They never saw each other again... ...Until Emily had her annual 12 Pubs Crawl in New York City later that year on December 9th. She invited her brother Dave (a close friend of Nick's) and knew he lived nearby in Stamford, CT. Nick entered Pub #5 with his winning smile, and Lisa re-introduced herself. She then ordered a questionable drink special named "Sprinkltini" as an ice breaker, asked Angela Parlamenti to put in a good word, and the rest is history. After they started dating, Nick and Lisa's mutual friends asked themselves, "Why did we never think of this coupling before?". It was clear that Nick and Lisa had to wait to find each other when the time was right in both of their lives. From the random woman sitting at the table next to them at Tuscana on their second date saying "they were destined for each other", to Lisa's cousin Chaz having been a longtime childhood friend of Nick's from Saint John the Beloved, to even both going to Saint Mark's High School at the same time - there were endless signs that they were meant to be in each other's lives.
