Travel Note
For our wedding weekend in beautiful Palisade, Colorado, there are plenty of great places to stay! Palisade: For the full wine country experience, look for cute Airbnbs, vineyard stays, or local inns right in Palisade. It's a small town, so you'll be close to everything! Grand Junction: Just 10–15 minutes away, Grand Junction has more hotel options, including familiar chains and boutique hotels. It’s also near the airport and restaurants. Fruita: About 20–25 minutes from Palisade, Fruita is another charming town with additional hotels and vacation rentals. We suggest booking early, especially if you'd like to stay in Palisade, since accommodations can fill up quickly during wine season.
Flight
We highly recommend flying into Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) for the easiest travel experience. Connections are often from SLC, Phoenix and Denver. It’s a small, convenient airport just 15 minutes from Palisade and close to hotels in both Grand Junction and Fruita. Other airport options like Denver or Salt Lake City are much farther away (4+ hour drives), so flying into Grand Junction will save you lots of travel time and hassle.
Flight
While we highly recommend flying into Grand Junction Airport (GJT) for convenience, you can also fly into: Denver International Airport (DIA) – About a 4-hour drive to Palisade. This is a larger airport with more flight options and potentially cheaper fares. The drive is scenic but can be busy, especially on weekends. Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) – Also about a 4-hour drive to Palisade. This route is typically less congested and could be a good alternative depending on flight prices and availability. If you choose DIA or SLC, plan for a half-day of travel after you land to get to Palisade. A rental car will be necessary.
