Our Story LaTroy and Lisa’s love story is a beautiful reminder that God often works through the most unexpected moments. On January 5, 2023, what seemed like an ordinary day took an extraordinary turn when Lisa’s car needed a tow. Their interaction was professional, kind, and surprisingly easy. Before parting ways, they exchanged information—unaware that this simple moment would become the foundation of something lasting. In the months that followed, their connection quietly but steadily grew. Through thoughtful texts and regular check-ins, a friendship rooted in sincerity and care began to form. Then, on July 19, 2023, LaTroy sent a message that perfectly reflected his heart—sweet, simple, and genuine: “Would you like to be my girlfriend? Yes or no.” Lisa happily checked yes, and from that moment on, their journey together officially began. Over time, their love deepened—strong and enduring like emerald, pure and intentional like white, and grounded with unwavering commitment like black. They nurtured a relationship built on faith, compassion, laughter, and family. Each season strengthened their bond and affirmed that this love was divinely aligned. On March 1, 2025, LaTroy proposed to Lisa in her loft, surrounded by her children—an intimate and meaningful moment that reflected not only their love for one another, but the family they were becoming together. It was a heartfelt “yes” to forever. With grateful hearts, LaTroy and Lisa will unite in marriage on November 14, 2026, at the historic Mt. Zion Congregational Church in Cleveland, Ohio, surrounded by friends, family, and the community that has loved and supported them. They step into this next chapter with faith, joy, and the assurance of God’s promise: “Two are better than one… and a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 They cannot wait to celebrate this sacred union and begin a lifetime of love, partnership, and purpose together. With love, LaTroy & Lisa
