Where to begin?!?! I apparently had classes with Jordan our freshman and sophomore years of high school (I can’t really remember but he does), but I didn’t really notice him until junior year in our English class. I’m not sure why junior year, but for some reason something was different and I thought he was nerdy ;) but pretty cute, so I decided to text him. Flash forward to October 3, 2011 – I was going to powderpuff practice but Jordan asked me to go get ice cream with him first. After our Baskin Robbin’s date, Jordan dropped me back off to the high school but said he had to ask me a question first. I, of course, knew where he was going, but even if I couldn't, his bright red face and nervous smile definitely gave it away. Since he was taking forever, I decided to take things into my own hands and asked myself out. Ladies and gentleman, you heard that right. I said “Lisa, will you go out with me?” and did I answer myself? Yes, yes I did. I continued with “Yes!”. This whole time Jordan’s face probably got redder and he probably started questioning everything, but I’ve been a loudmouth since I was born so he knew what he was signing up for... and the rest is history!

On November 11th, 2018 – Jordan finally proposed! We knew since high school that we wanted to be together forever (cheesy I know), so it was never a question of if he would propose but when. Since we both went to graduate school right after undergrad, we knew that getting married in those two years would be nearly impossible. I also knew that when he proposed I didn’t want to have a decade long engagement, so the timing was perfect. It was our last year of grad school and I knew that the likely hood of him proposing was pretty high; however, I figured it would in the spring.
