FAQs

Question

What?! You got married in December of last year?

Answer

Yes, we decided we wanted a small wedding with family only. We had a short ceremony followed by a delicious meal at our favorite brunch restaurant downtown, and then went bowling! Check out the gallery -- it was a special day!

Question

What is this event in September?

Answer

Since it was a brunch & bowling wedding, there wasn't time for dancing with family and friends. The wedding party is to celebrate our marriage with all of our favorite people. Good food, fizzy drinks, great people, yard games, funky tunes. Let's party!!!!

Question

Where is the party?

Answer

The party will be at Lisa's parents' (Hans & Edna Huggler's) house (thank you, Mom and Dad!) in Aloha, Oregon. Parking is available in a large lot at a neighbor's house. Look for signage on 185th that says 'L&J Party Parking'. A path has been cleared to walk from the parking area (through two fences, across yards) to the party so folks can avoid walking on 185th Ave. Once you have parked, look west (away from 185th Ave.) and go through the arch. Follow the string lights. See the parking address and party address below. Parking address: 6815 SW 185th Ave., Aloha, OR Party address: 6735 SW 185th Ave., Aloha, OR

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

No heels! We will be in (dry) grassy areas - dressy strappy sandals and flat shoes are encouraged. Comfy and cool cocktail dresses/attire is encouraged. This is an elevated outdoor wedding party β€” keep it fabulous but easy to maximize efficiency on the dance floor! Jeff and I will be wearing the same outfits (suit and wedding dress) from December.

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

You can show up with nothing! Drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert will be provided. We love to get cards. No gifts are required, but if you want to gift us something, we love adventure and travel funds (registry).

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We are keeping the party adults only, with the exception of our closest littles (nieces and nephews only). Call the babysitter and have a night out without the kids!

Question

Should I expect a formal invite in the mail?

Answer

No, we are leveraging this website as our invite. All of the info that you need should be here β€” let us know if you have any questions.

Question

Do I need to let you know if I am coming?

Answer

Yes, RSVPs were due no later than August 15th. If you missed the RSVP deadline, we look forward to seeing you another time.

Question

What time should I arrive and what’s the plan for the evening?

Answer

4p: aim for arrival to catch cocktail hour 5p: we will share a couple of words under a special arbor and take some group pictures 5:30: dinner time! 6:30p: party time! 10p: head home β€” please travel safely!
