Making It Official!

November 7, 2020. Covid Year! I decide I need to get out of the house for a cocktail, so I call up a friend to meet me up the street (I rarely leave Alpharetta!). Coincidentally, that same night, Jeff's friend talks him into leaving the house - his first time out since the big Covid fiasco! After a cocktail at the local restaurant, my friend convinces me to go on over to Roswell - and after protesting a bit...I went. Finally ended up at Rockin' Taco (yep, classy) to listen to music- and then my friend disappears. I start wandering around looking for her - because I am ready to leave this place and go home to bed! Once I find her, (she went to go use the ladies room apparently) I'm like "Let's go- I'm ready." As we were walking out - we passed a table and she looked over and said "Hey- this is the guy that let me use the bathroom ahead him!" I looked over - saw Jeff - who was wearing a sweater with a hoodie - with the hood up, no less - and eating soup...yep - eating soup "up in the club"...but I looked at him - he smiled and I thought...."hmmmm- this is interesting". We ended up talking - or trying to talk because it was so loud - and then I said "well, when you take me to dinner, it'll be quieter and we'll be able to talk". He responded, "Did you just ask me out?" Well yes, yes I did. And the rest is history. Now Jeff will tell you that he saw me before my friend introduced us. He will tell you he saw me - silver platinum hair, huge wine glass in hand, hand held up high to keep someone from bumping into my glass of wine, disgusted irritated look on my face - a look of "get me out of here" (which would be true) - and he thought "that's an attractive woman" (he told me that - I didn't just say that about myself :) )...so really - it was just meant to be. It hasn't always been smooth and easy the last almost 4 years...but it has always been "RIGHT".
