FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kiddos! Kids are welcome to join us for the Group Walk/Hike, Welcome Event, Ceremony and Cocktail Hour! While we currently don’t have space at the Dinner and Reception for children outside of immediate family and infants (lap-held or under 1 year), we’d love to accommodate you if space becomes available. Please feel free to reach out to Lisa or Franklin if you’d like to bring your kids—we’ll do our best to make it work!

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Think cocktail attire with a little flexibility for comfort—dresses, jumpsuits, button-downs, suits, blazers, etc. Just keep in mind that we’ll be at altitude, and temps can drop quickly in the evening, so layers are your friend!

Question

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors, with the reception mostly indoors. There will be plenty of space to hang outside after dinner, so bring a light jacket or wrap just in case it cools off after sunset.

Question

What’s the weather typically like in August?

Answer

IT MIGHT RAIN! Please come Prepared with umbrella or rain jacket! Outside of rain, daytime highs are usually in the 70s–80s°F and sunny. Evenings can dip into the 40s–50s. Jacket or layers, sunblock and water are essential at 9,000 feet!

Question

Is there parking available at the venues?

Answer

Welcome Event (Walter Byron Park): Parking is extremely limited at Walter Byron Park. Please plan to walk or bike, it's a 5 minute walk from Main Street. If you are staying outside of Frisco, you can find parking here near Main Street: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8X8EYRDoeCH5kcuR6 Ceremony (Frisco Bay Marina): There are two large parking lots to the left and right of the Frisco Bay Marina entrance. The first 30 minutes of parking is free, but you must register your license plate number with the kiosks or QR codes scattered throughout the parking lots. You should expect to pay about $3 for parking. Reception (Frisco Adventure Lodge): There is free parking in front of the Frisco Adventure Lodge, as well as directly across the street.

Question

What should we do during the weekend?

Answer

We’ve got a full Things to Do section with ideas for hiking, shopping, breweries, and more in Frisco, Silverthorne, and Breckenridge. Whether you want to relax or explore, there's plenty to enjoy!

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We recommend booking early—summer is peak season in the mountains! There are hotels, vacation rentals, and lodges in Frisco and nearby towns. See our Accommodations section for a few suggestions.

Question

When should we RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 16th so we can plan accordingly. You can RSVP right here on our website.

Question

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re asking guests to keep phones away and enjoy the moment with us—our photographer will capture it all! Feel free to snap photos and share during the reception.
