We met on an online dating site. I noticed this guy who had been viewing my profile for about a week but never leaving a message. Therefore, I decided to send him a message and he responded. I can't say that it was love at first sight but I do know it was a good feeling talking to him. After 3 weeks of talking on the phone and 2 dates later, I realized he kept me laughing and he didn't give me any negative vibes. February 11th he asked me to be his girl and I told him not yet. I waited unto February 18th because we both were born on the 18th and I wanted this date to have a significance. I told him I would be his girl and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

My daughter was hosting a family Sunday dinner. After dinner, we were having karaoke and my girls (daughters) started singing Bruno Mars ‘Marry You’. At first I didn’t think anything of it but then it hit me and I said jokingly, “Is this my proposal?” When the song ended, my fiancé made his way towards me. I was truly clueless for what was about to happen because I really thought we we’re having karaoke. I do remember while he was walking, he completely spinned around, which I thought he was being silly. But when he got closer, he dropped to one knee in front of me. Although I was joking about it, I still didn’t have a clue until I saw the ‘Ring’. He asked and I said, ‘Yes’.
