Our story started with a swipe. It may not be a glamorous, or fairytale beginning, but we found each other through Tinder. Lisa had just made a big move from the suburbs of Chicago to the mountain city of Asheville, North Carolina, starting an internship in music therapy. She was ambitious and excited, and hoped to meet a kind, southern gentleman in the process. The way Tinder works is you post photos of yourself, and write a short biography on your profile. If people like what they see or read, they can swipe right to "like" you, or left to pass you by. If two people swipe right on each other, they have the option of messaging one another and becoming acquainted. When we ended up matching, Lisa sent Cameron the first message. Cameron saw her pictures on the dating app- several photos with Lisa's beautiful, warm smile, and her obvious charm pouring from each shot, all while holding a violin and performing in various auditoriums- and thought "this is some algorithm conceived scam", believing Lisa was a "bot" or cyber hoax; literally thinking it was too good to be true. Lisa was persistent with her messages, and after proving she wasn't a bot, we decided to meet up in person. Upon our first date, we found conversation and laughter easy, several common interests, and an obvious desire to better know one another. We ended up having the best, and last, first date of our lives, wanting to see and learn more about one another with each day. Loving each other was the easiest thing, feeling like every step was already mapped out for us, and we never missed a step. Walking together in life feels effortless, and we realize it was meant to be this way, and we are meant for each other, in some divine way. We feel that starting a life together, as one, is the next step for us, and we want you all, people who are also meant to be in our lives, to be there at its christening.
