We met on Skout, an online app for finding friends and we first met in person at Pokey's in August 2016. We dated as friends until December 8th 2016. That night we ate at the Yellow Deli and afterward Tony said something about dating to find the right person to marry. This was significant for me as my mother had told me this when I was younger. He met my parents in January 2017 I believe and I remember my mom asking me if he asked me to marry him, would I say yes and I confirmed. She rolled her eyes and said it was too soon. Too soon to marry? Maybe. Too soon to know? No. Our months of friendship were very important as previously having met men online meant I met many hooligans who were not the dating or marrying type. I remember meeting men online and becoming so frustrated and deleting any apps and then I would hear God say, "I can bring you your best friend online." So I would try again and I am so very thankful I did! There have been frustrating times during our dating period and each time I would pray I would immediately feel God's peace and and be reminded of why I was in love with Tony!
