After some mindless dating app swiping on their way to work one morning in 2018, Anthony and Lisa matched. Anthony immediately made an impression with a greeting full of personality: “This is a great way to start the day,” he said. Lisa replied that he was already making her smile. Before even meeting, Lisa and Anthony hit it off so well that they joked they’d found the one. Lisa called her mom and said she had a really good feeling about this guy. She may not have known exactly what he looked like, but she knew his wit and personality were something special. As crazy as it sounded, she had a feeling he could end up being the one for her.

Lisa and Anthony went on their first date at a restaurant near Lisa’s office. By the end of their date, Anthony knew he had found someone special. To him, there was something different about Lisa - she was beautiful, funny, full of energy, but also had a level of modest kindness that was rare to see. Things moved pretty quickly after that first date. They started spending every weekend together and soon met each other’s families. They traveled to California, Hawaii and Alaska, moved into their first apartment together in NYC, and on one October day in 2020, Anthony took Lisa to the top of the Empire State Building and asked her to marry him.

In most relationships, one person is more outgoing and the other is more reserved. For better or worse, this is not the case for Anthony and Lisa.
