Our love story began on a dating website called OKCupid back in March 2012. Lisa was living the singles life in Astoria and Dave was finishing up college on Long Island. Dave got the courage to ask Lisa out after several weeks of online messaging and she said yes. Our first date was at a billiards bar, and we soon realized that we had equally bad skills at playing pool. We bonded over our shared love for travel, food, music and our Long Island roots. To our surprise, Dave knew more about Lisa's new neighborhood than she did; and Lisa had been to Paris, where Dave was headed in the coming month. In May 2017, Lisa coordinated a trip to her alma mater and planned to show Dave around Union College, but unbeknownst to her, Dave had his own plan. He proposed at night in front of the epic national landmark on campus, The Nott Memorial, just after a heavy, summer rainstorm had passed (almost spoiling the plan). There they decided to finally tie the Nott and form the perfect Union. Six years worth of memories later we have grown romantically and professionally supporting each other along the way. We made our first home in Astoria, went white water rafting on three different rivers, zip lined through the rain forest, and scouted out the Queens food scene. Together we have traveled as far as San Francisco to Costa Rica and are looking forward to our honeymoon in Portugal. We have been patiently counting down the days to our wedding and can't wait to celebrate with everyone!
