The best birthday present. Charlie’s first day at Outback was on Mallory’s birthday. Charlie was a Manager, and Mallory was serving part-time, in addition to working in the Marketing department at Rivers Casino. They quickly became friends and then best friends, feeding off of each other’s energy and enjoying the company of each other during each shift.

After being best friends for over eight months, Charlie mustered up the courage to ask Mallory on their first date: BYOB Sip and Paint. Despite Mallory’s lack of artistry and poor taste buds (she requested Bud Light), Charlie still decided that he had found a winner. He asked her to be his girlfriend on an origami napkin at Buffalo Wild Wings ❤️

Mallory starts a new job with FEVO and Charlie decides to lock it in before she starts traveling with other sports professionals. Smart man. He heads to St. Charles, near one of their favorite mini golf spots, and recreates Mallory’s favorite painting - a couple under an umbrella as colorful raindrops dance on the ground. The song, “A Million Dreams” from one of Mallory’s favorite movie soundtracks plays in the background as Charlie gets down on one knee and commits to Mallory for life.
