A historic NYC November snowstorm. Whole Foods and fresh veggies. Cold, wet soaked Rothy's. Subway first kiss. When they first met serendipitously during a girl's night dinner in Marc's medical school dorm, little did they know that the game had been set—the board laid out and the pieces placed. "Lipsa thinks you're cute," "Marc thinks you're cute," they were each told—childish banter, but apropos, nonetheless. It took some time, but the dice were rolled and a first date was arranged, though not if Mother Nature had her say. A November 2018 snowstorm could ground the MTA to a halt, but it would not stop a baked goods- and fresh vegetable-filled rendezvous, nor a drenched frigid kiss on the 86th Street subway station steps. From at-home mixology and cat twins to Mexican misadventures and dog dreams, from Jewish brisket and latkes to Indian biryani and dosa, from Pumpkin Latte Day to LP Spa Valentines, the laughter and smiles (and eye rolls) never stop as the game of life continues.
