The Wedding Website of Melissa Lippner and Max Kuhlman
We know that traveling abroad can be complicated! We are happy to share travel ideas & tips with our guests, please reach out to the bride or groom! In general, we recommend spending just a few days in the Douro Valley during the wedding activities. Guests coming in on Sunday for the Welcome Party can enjoy wine tastings, river tours or exploring the Douro Valley before the festivities kick off. You will also have time prior to the wedding on Monday to explore and hang by the pool. If you are looking at locations to fly into, we recommend flying into and spending a few days in Porto before the wedding & enjoying the rest of Portugal post wedding. Important Travel Update! Starting late 2026, visitors from he US will need to apply for ETIAS authorization before traveling to Europe. Please ensure your passport is valid and visit the official ETIAS site for more information.

Flying into Portugal: The Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS), has direct flights from major cities around the world. It is likely you will connect through London or France getting to Portugal.
