FAQs

The Wedding Website of Mara Obermeier and Nick Lippert
We'd love for our guests to join us in formal attire. Think suits and ties, floor-length dresses, or elegant dressy separates. Get fun with it! Bright colors and fun textures are strongly encouraged. We kindly ask guests to avoid wearing ANY white, ivory, champagne or gold. The ceremony and reception will both be held indoors, so no need to worry about the weather. Most importantly, wear something you feel great in, you'll be celebrating and dancing all night!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Saturday, August 1st through the RSVP page on our website. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones and would be delighted to have them join us for the ceremony at St. John Cantius. Our reception, however, will be an adults-only celebration, so we kindly ask that you make arrangements for the kiddos before heading to Tenk West Bank. We hope this gives you a chance to relax, unwind, and enjoy the evening with us!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus-one, it will be noted on your RSVP.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We're having an unplugged ceremony. As we celebrate the sacrament of marriage in a sacred space, we kindly ask that phones and cameras be put away so everyone can honor and be fully present for the Mass. Our photographer will capture every moment, and you're welcome to snap away at the reception!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving 20–30 minutes before the ceremony start time to find parking, get seated, and settle in.

Question

Is there transportation between venues?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation, but we will share a Lyft discount code closer to the wedding to help with rides between the ceremony, reception, and your hotel.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, both venues offer parking options. St. John Cantius in Tremont has free street parking throughout the surrounding neighborhood. Tenk West Bank offers free street parking as well as paid on-site parking lots. We encourage guests to use rideshare so you can fully enjoy the evening, and we'll be sharing a Lyft discount code closer to the wedding!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please note any dietary restrictions when you RSVP, and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Question

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors.
