Nicole and Spencer's journey began way back in 6th grade when they met as classmates, though they didn’t officially become friends until high school brought them closer. They grew up in different circles, but were brought together by mutual friends. After many double dates, it wasn’t until homecoming and two proms spent side-by-side that their story began to feel like fate. On October 13, 2017, their friendship turned into something more when Spencer asked Nicole to be his girlfriend, setting them off on an adventure filled with unforgettable moments, growth, and endless love. Over the years, they've been each other’s biggest supporters, experiencing countless milestones that made their bond stronger. From high school days spent laughing in the hallways to dinner dates, their friendship became the foundation for a lifetime of love. After graduation, Nicole moved to East Lansing to attend college at Michigan State University and Spencer moved to Mount Pleasant to attend Central Michigan University. Though this distance was hard at first, they supported each other through long phone calls, facetimes, and the occasional surprise visits. They celebrated each victory together, big and small, as they tackled college life. Their story took them from East Lansing and Mount Pleasant, eventually back to Hartland after graduation. Through each move, each city, and each challenge, Nicole and Spencer stayed grounded in their love, always dreaming about their future together. In 2024, Spencer proudly bought his first home in Hartland. They poured their time and energy into renovating it together, turning it into a place they could truly call a home. It was in that house, amidst the dust of remodels and paint swatches, that they realized just how much they had built—not just a home, but a life together. On October 13, 2024, exactly seven years after they first became a couple, Spencer got down on one knee in the beautiful fall setting of Spicer Orchards in Fenton, Michigan, the place where so many of their memories had been made. With family and friends celebrating nearby, Nicole said yes, sealing their love story with the perfect beginning to forever. From classmates to best friends, partners to life-long loves, Nicole and Spencer’s journey has been full of memories, laughter, and milestones that they’re excited to keep building as they start this new chapter.
