Like all great modern love stories, ours began with a swipe to the right with a truly profound message sent from Angela to Andrew, "Hi there :) ". For those of you who don't know, we met on Bumble, the app where women make the first move (and men wait patiently for it to happen). Angela's radius was only set to 25 miles (because why drive further right) but somehow, Andrew, who lived further than 25 miles was able to match at this time. After luring Andrew in with a simple greeting, he was hooked with a reply of "Hello you are gorgeous!" Angela was immediately smitten. We quickly found a common interest together over liking country music artists like Chris Stapleton and Luke Combs. It was then decided that was enough information about one another to set up a first date (that Angela almost slept through because nightshift work is not easy) just two days later. Not expecting much, maybe a free drink or 2 and some food, this encounter quickly turned into clever one liners and instant chemistry. When Andrew was describing he was from Illinois, Angela's follow up question was "Oh, that's like right next to Ohio right?" Andrew kindly let Angela know that this was not the case and this became a light hearted moment and run on joke that eased the anxiousness out of a first date. This then turned into a second date out to breakfast, then a third at an Italian restaurant, and so on. After being together for almost 4 years they have shared many laughs, good memories and heart felt moments together. So, you could say it was love at first swipe. Shout out to Bumble for that algorithm that day, we owe you one.
