we're married!

As a modern couple, Evan and Madeline met on "the dating app". With the odd chance, (yes, the dating app really works), they both swiped right to each other and quickly found they have a lot in common. Their first date was a brunch at the Trident Bookseller and Café, because, well obviously, they both love books and meeting at a bookstore that serves food seems like the best idea for a first date. (Credit to Madeline, she picked up this place!) They met on a beautiful Sunday morning in January 2017; They exchanged some great laughs and had wonderful conversations for hours. And that's how their story begins.

Evan and Madeline traveled together to Taiwan, where Madeline grew up, in January 2020. They spent a great time there meeting Madeline's family and friends, visiting beautiful scenic sites, and of course, having lots of tasty Taiwanese food. Evan was deeply inspired by Taiwanese culture from their first trip to Asia. A year after the trip, they decided to move to Taiwan in 2022 after their wedding and start their new journey as a married couple.
