The ceremony and celebration will be held outdoors near Kirkwood Lake, surrounded by the beautiful Eldorado National Forest
The nearest major airport is Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) or Sacramento International Airport (SMF). From there, Kirkwood is a scenic 2.5–3 hour drive. We recommend renting a car.
There are cabins, lodges, and campgrounds near Kirkwood. A list of recommended accommodations will be included in your invitation and posted on our wedding website.
The dress code is elevated outdoor casual. Think sundresses, button-downs, comfortable shoes, and layers—it can get chilly in the evening!
Yes! Our ceremony will take place outdoors beside the lake, so please dress comfortably and prepare for uneven ground.
