We got married, now it's time to celebrate!

Ryan standing next to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (and being the same height as the rabbit with his ears) at Disneyland was what led Becca to talk to Ryan. After a few dates Ryan decided to ask to be exclusive but was willing to wait for Becca to feel ready. A few dates down the road and a few thousand texts later, it was official on May 19, 2017. Even with living two hours apart and only seeing each other on the weekends, for the most part, a few months felt like a lifetime to both of them. Going on small road trips a few hours from the Bay Area, going across the Atlantic Ocean, or just being quiet in each other's company led Ryan and Becca's love to grow quickly. Disney was always something near and dear to Becca's heart, so Ryan realized it would become a bigger thing in his life, like it or not. While trying to figure out a plan on a proposal, Ryan's original plan got derailed when Becca said that they should go to Dapper Day at Disneyland in April with two of her best friends. Even though Ryan had Becca fooled, acting like he did not want to go, he was secretly planning a new proposal with her friends, that day. The afternoon of April 13th, the three of them got Becca to the spot where Oswald would have stood in CA Adventure, without her ever realizing it. Here is where Ryan pulled out an Oswald Dapper Hat and started talking about the first picture she had seen of him. As soon as Becca realized what was happening a chorus of "Noo's" could be heard, worried but determined Ryan got down to one knee and asked Becca to marry him. Ryan swears Becca never said an audible "Yes" but just nodded quickly. To say the least, Becca was caught off guard, but was shaking with excitement about the proposal and the future she could see with Ryan. We were supposed to get married May 16th 2020. With the Covid-19 crisis we had to cancel the celebration and even move the day we are getting married (but let's be real, Ryan is happy our anniversary is 5/15/2020). Five years later, we have moved into a house, gotten a black lab named Buddy and we are finally ready to celebrate with those we love.
